As christians, we need to have true faith in Jesus Christ, our Savior. When things in life don’t go as planned, pray to Him in faith for the strength to go on.

John 12:35-36 Then Jesus told them, “You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going.
36 Believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light.” When he had finished speaking, Jesus left and hid himself from them.

As christians, we are to be Christ’s light bearers, letting His light shine through us.

Let your light shine brightly for others to see Christ in you always, in your actions.

Jesus points to the urgent necessity of acting on His light. Give up your past notions and act on Jesus’ revelations.

You must first become a child of the light to walk in the light.

Galatians 5:25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

Faith During Trials

1 Peter 1:6-9 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Peter says in this world there will be trials which is momentary in the grande view of eternity. The faith displayed during trials will be the faith that will one day deliver us from the world. Believers love Christ and believe in Him even though they have never seen Him. As a result, believers will gain salvation from the world that they are living in.

Jeremiah 17:7 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

Pray to God for His love and grace to keep from temptations that will lead you astray from Him.

We live in a fallen world where good behavior is not rewarded, and bad behavior is not always punished.

Faith in God is justified even when our situations look hopeless.

To be unshakeable, faith must be built on the confidence that God’s ultimate purpose will come to pass.

Remember that this life, with all its pain, is not our final destination.

Psalm 33:20-22 Our soul waiteth for the LORD. He is our help and our shield.

21 For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His Holy Name.

22 Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us according as we hope in Thee.

God is a constant hope for those who trust in Him. He always hears prayers in faith of the righteous. For them, He is a shield against tragedy.

We can learn to rejoice in His unfailing love, knowing we will receive His help whenever it is needed.

Focus on all that you know of God’s love, reminding yourself of past blessings, and praising God, who will always be with you.

Ephesians 6:10-11 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

Those who are protected by salvation, prayer, and the Word of God need not have fear of the devil. We are kept in the power of God.

1 Peter 1:3-5 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Lord, I know that my enemy seeks to devour me. Please protect me from him. I believe Your Word that He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world.
