HAVE FAITH AND CONFIDENCE IN GOD

Jeremiah 17:7 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

Pray to God for His love and grace to keep from temptations that will lead you astray from Him.

We live in a fallen world where good behavior is not rewarded, and bad behavior is not always punished.

Faith in God is justified even when our situations look hopeless.

To be unshakeable, faith must be built on the confidence that God’s ultimate purpose will come to pass.

Remember that this life, with all its pain, is not our final destination.

DO NOT CONTINUE IN SIN

1 John 3:9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We are human, and sin. God knows this, and that is why He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, to die on the cross, and save us. Pray to God in faith to forgive you and give you the strength to not continue in sin.

LET GOD TAKE THE LEAD IN YOUR LIFE

I was thinking of times in my life when everything is going wrong and I start freaking out, really out of control. It seems like there is no way out, and even though I know God is there right beside me, my thoughts don’t always turn to Him. This is the time when I need to stop yelling, throwing things, and say to myself, ‘CALM DOWN’. Then pray to God. ‘Dear God, please take all of this negativity in my heart and mind away, turning them to positive thinking and actions. Give me peace, and remind me of your love and grace.’ Bring out your Bible and let God guide you to verses that will strengthen your heart again to move on in your life.
There will be times we, as christians, fall backwards, and feel like there is no return or a way out of the turmoil, but God wants you to live life letting Him take the reigns once in a while.

Psalm 46:1“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

TURN TO THE LORD

Lamentations 3:40-41 Let us search out and examine our ways, and turn back to the LORD; 41 Let us lift our hearts and hands to God in heaven.

The characteristics of God’s mercy brings relief to those who seek God’s forgiveness.

Jesus is Our Ally

Philippians 2:12-13 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.

When we admit we are powerless over an addiction or compulsive behavior in our lives we open up to reach out to God, knowing He wants to fill us with His love, joy, hope and presence. This turns our eyes toward God as our source of healing.

God sent Jesus, His only Son to save us from sin and sickness. He sent Him to earth where He was tempted as we are in all ways but without sin. Jesus is the highest power because He has conquered all life can dish out. He is our ally to help us through the hard times.

Keep on Hoping

Romans 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Whether you have recently accepted Jesus Christ in your heart, or have fallen away from Him, you always find hope in His word.

We must be willing to learn what the Scriptures teach if we expect to be encouraged by them.

Romans 15:4 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.

The Christian endures to reach eternal life, the presence of Christ, and infinite joy forever and ever. But neither endures without hope.
