Believers Don’t Sin Continually

1 John 3:9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.

When we accept Jesus in our hearts, our lives change. We want to live fully for God. As humans we all sin, but when we give ourself to Him, we don’t want to continue in sin purposely. Jesus died to give us salvation, forgive us if we ask Him. Never take advantage of His forgiveness. There is a certain point where a line has to be drawn, to not live a sinful life, but continue to grow, and live a believer’s life.

Imitate the Character of JESUS

1 Peter 1:15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do;

16 for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

To be holy, we must be focused on Christ coming, obedient in all of life, and growing in our knowledge of God’s holiness, which means we are to be set apart from the world unto Him.

We sin because of our human bodies, existing on this world, but will progressively grow in holiness through God, and His Word.

Keep on Hoping

Romans 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Whether you have recently accepted Jesus Christ in your heart, or have fallen away from Him, you always find hope in His word.

We must be willing to learn what the Scriptures teach if we expect to be encouraged by them.

Romans 15:4 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.

The Christian endures to reach eternal life, the presence of Christ, and infinite joy forever and ever. But neither endures without hope.
